Meet Mrs. Cheramie

Hi! Welcome to my page! I was born in Louisiana and have always lived in Morgan City. Teaching was one of three careers that I had my heart set on. Teaching made the most sense for the life I wanted to live. I am certified to teach all subjects in elementary grades 1st-5th. This year is my 16th year teaching. I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and I am currently teaching 1^st grade. First grade has gone back to self contained (Cha Ching!). This means that I get to teach my kiddos all subjects, and I get to keep them all day. I love it.

On the side of being a teacher,  I am the wife of a fun and loving man who happens to also be my high school sweetheart! I am also the mother of four  relatively wonderful girls 😊. They made me the other thing I wanted to be when I grew up…a mommy. I’ve wanted that since I was literally 3 years old. I enjoy camping, cooking, and anything that has something to do with the current season/holiday. My favorite color depends on the next holiday/season coming up.  I love making new traditions and honoring the old ones!   You could probably ask any of my previous students what my favorite type of weather is, and they would quickly tell you that it's rainy day weather. A good storm energizes me! You should see me in the classroom during a storm. I usually have the unpopular opinion on everything, and I am the weirdest friend my friends have, but they love me just the same.

I want to Thank You for taking the time to read my spill, and most of all, thank you for sharing your child with me this year. I promise to do my best to make them feel safe and loved and give them the education they deserve. The possibilities are endless!
