Meet Mrs. Mason

Hello! My name is Lana Mason. I graduated in 2001 from Nicholls State University with my associate's degree. I taught Pre-K3 and Kindergarten at Bayou Vista Baptist Kindergarten for 10 years. My husband and I moved to Alaska in 2012. I worked as an Assistant Director for the Boys and Girls Club after school program and was a Self-Contained Paraprofessional for children with Autism. We moved back to Louisiana in 2018, where I begin working as a paraprofessional at M.E. Norman. I was blessed with the opportunity to return to college and achieve my bachelor's degree. In May of 2024, I graduated from Reach University. This is my second-year teaching 2nd grade ELA at Norman. I absolutely love being back in the classroom and teaching! It is something that I believe God gifted and called me to do. I love your child as if they were my own. Thank you for entrusting me with their care! I believe that I learn more from your children than I will ever teach them. I am so thankful and grateful for you and your child! I am looking forward to an amazing year of learning and growing together!
