Recess Procedures

Recess/Playground Expectations (NEW THIS YEAR)

  • Each grade level has 1 20-minute scheduled recess.

  • Students may not bring personal items, including toys or belongings, to school. These will be confiscated, and repeated violations may lead to disciplinary action.

  • Cell phones, electronic games, and similar devices are not allowed on campus.

  • Duty teachers monitor students during recess to ensure safety. Students must follow the Code of Conduct, treat others with kindness and respect, and report any concerns to a duty teacher, who will address the issue appropriately.

  • Conflicts or any issues that arise during recess shall be reported to a duty teacher immediately. Delayed reporting reduces the likelihood of effective resolution. Prompt reporting allows for timely intervention, investigation, and appropriate action.
